When we were thinking of ideas we thought about all the possible places we could film and what we could use baring in mind we were only allowed to use the camera on a tripod. We also thought about who we could use in our film. Our idea changed a lot from the start to the end. Like characters, set and script. These all changed because we couldn't get people to act in our film, things weren't working in the place we were gonna put them and because the loft wouldn't open we had to change the script last minute. We went through the thinking process and thought of ideas for what type of short horror we were gonna make. We came up with a number of different ideas but one stood out to us. Our initial idea was to use the idea about the boy in the school but, there where problems with this idea. Like we couldn't find a school that would let us film. So we changed the location and made the script fit our new location in a house.

In this short horror film project i was the camera operator. Therefore my role was mainly based around camera work. The responsibilities of my role was, being in control of the camera, angles, aperture, iOS, Shutter speed, level of height that the tripod was at. Secondly i am going to talk about the skills needed in being a camera operator. Firstly you need the technical knowledge of cameras, Like knowing the functions of the camera (Knowing the settings). Also the ability to frame and compose a shot, making the shot feel real and come to life. The ability to perform camera moves accurately, weather the shot is hand held or on a tripod, also the way the camera moves with the actors. Another good thing to have in the role is communication skills, talking to others and figuring out the best possible shot. (Example, Talking to the Director about how they want the shot taken). Also taking directions from other, from different perspectives things can look better. In a camera operator job Associate or bachelor's degree in journalism, television, film or videography recommended but not required. For the job you have to have a lot of creativity.
Equipment: Camera, Audio equipment, Boom pole, Tripod. Props: Phone We used a phone so we could show how the character was feeling.( Taylor looking through pictures of Abi when they were a couple. Costume list:
When it came to costumes we thought the emotions that the characters were feeling. For Taylor we but him in black and white clothing to show that he was sad, but we came across a problem in the final edit one of the costumes had a logo on it and it drew peoples attention to his shirt. For Abi we had two costumes one in casual clothing and the other in a creepy dress, With the dress we did her makeup as she was meant to look possessed. Were we were filming there were a few hazards that we had to address:
Falling down the stairs Trapping fingers in the door The things we did to prevent this was being careful when coming up and down the stairs and for the door when took shots of slamming the door to make sure our fingers weren't in the way. One other thing we had to look out for is tripping over furniture or equipment, we prevented this by watching were we were walking. The location we chose for the short horror film was a house with a loft. We chose this because we thought it would give off a horror film vibe. When i location scouted i thought of how the furniture would fit into the film.
